News: March edition of Game Informer brings on the exclusives.
Yep, an Aliens game set to be released in 2009 for the PC and consoles, without those pesky Predators, is being made by Gearbox who look to finally be departing the World War II front for awhile. It will be titled Aliens: Colonial Marines and it will be a squad-based FPS in the Aliens universe. EA Games and Fox Interactive were planning a similarly Aliens game in 2001, but it was canceled before ever seeing the light. Presumably, this version of Aliens: Colonial Marines has nothing to do with that version.
The magazine also has the scoop on Champions Online, the new superhero MMO from Cryptic Studios (which is coming to PCs and consoles); and a new chapter in the Red Faction series, Red Faction: Guerilla.
