  • A sex minigame dubbed "Hot Coffee" was originally planned to be included in the game. After some consideration, Rockstar decided to hide access to the minigame from the player but left the code intact. Through the use of cheat devices, players were able to unlock the minigame.

  • After the "Hot Coffee" scandal, GTA: San Andreas became the first console game to be rated as "Adults Only" by the ESRB.
