News: Coming soon to Fox... A show based on THQ's Destroy All Humans!

THQ's surly little alien invader, Crypto 137, is getting his own show on Fox very soon according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The popular PS2 and Xbox game is being turned into a half-hour CGI animated cartoon. The human behind Destroy All Humans! TV is former "King of the Hill" writer Jim Dauterive (yes they named sadsack Bill Dauterive after him).

"Hopefully, if we pull this off, people will be asking why haven't we done this before," Dauterive said.

If you'll recall, after Destroy All Humans! was released THQ revealed that they wanted to spin it off into TV shows, toys and movies.

Personally, I think Destroy All Humans! is one of the funniest games I've ever played and if they can sign up the original voice cast and keep that smooth and satirical 50s vibe, we just might have a winner. Plus, there's just not enough brain harvesting, anal probing, mind reading aliens in primetime.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to continue wrapping my brain around the fact that there is someone out there that "inspired" the character of Bill Dauterive.
