News: A Capcom Classics Collection and a Mega Man X Collection are next on the block.

At a Capcom press event in Las Vegas today, Capcom has announced two more classic game compilations to go along with last year's Mega Man Anniversary Collection and Street Fighter Anniversary Collection.

The first will be the Mega Man X Collection. Which X titles would be gracing this compilation weren't revealed but my money's on 1-6. Subsequently, which systems the game would appear on are also unknown. But seeing as how Mega Man X3-X6 appeared on the PlayStation and X7 and X8 are exclusive to the PS2, I think a PS2 version is almost guaranteed.

GameSpot also reported that the trailer for the game included a clip from Mega Man Battle and Chase, a Mega Man kart racer that was released only in Japan. I smell an unlockable bonus.

The next compilation is even more of a mystery as the Capcom Classics Collection was announced. No titles could be confirmed for this compilation, but Capcom representatives told reporters "it will include old school favorites". Which systems this Collection would appear on were also unknown.

We'll keep you updated as more details of these compilations are unlocked.
