News: Offering the ESPN experience without Chris Berman's dated '70s music references.

ESPN Videogames has released new details surrounding its online PlayStation 2 leagues, which will be available for ESPN NFL Football, ESPN NBA Basketball and ESPN College Hoops. The leagues can be accessed at the company's official site.

"The ESPN Videogames Online Leagues is the most robust offering for sports fans who are dedicated to the spirit of competition," said Greg Thomas, president of ESPN Videogames. "Created in tandem with our sports titles, they will surpass gamers' expectations with their deep play-by-play and statistical reporting."

ESPN leagues offer automated statistical updates, play-by-play recaps of entire games, and an updated new section. Players can also offer their own game recaps, be they mocking portrayals that ?clown? on their rivals, or serious endeavors in sports journalism. The leagues are equipped for instant messaging as well.

ESPN NFL Football is in stores now, while ESPN NBA Basketball and ESPN College Hoops are currently scheduled for Oct. 21 and Nov. 11 releases, respectively.
