StarCraft II Collector's Edition revealed @ Gaming Target

News: $100 nets you a whole lot of swag.

While it still doesn't have an official release date yet, Blizzard has unveiled the Collector's Edition for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. And boy is it a doozy. For the low, low price of $99.99, you'll get:

The Art of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, a 176-page art book that will look great on a coffee table with its illustrations and concept art

Behind-the-Scenes DVD containing over an hour of developer interviews, cinematics with director's commentary and more

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty - The Official Soundtrack, 14 tracks on a CD

2GB Flash Drive styled after Jim Raynor's dog tags, which comes pre-loaded with the original StarCraft and the StarCraft: Brood War expansion.

Issue #0, a special edition prequel, of the StarCraft comic book

Battle.net downloadable content, including special portraits for your profile, decals to customize your units in-game, and a visually unique version of the "Thor" unit

If the Collector's Edition makes your wallet weep, there's always the standard edition, which will be priced at $59.99.

And just think, with two StarCraft II expansions in development, one focusing on the Zerg and one on the Protoss, there's likely two more of these Collecter's Editions in the works totalling $300 for the complete game.

I think Activision Blizzard may need to borrow Nintendo's money printer.
