Well, I guess we're best off starting at the begining. On first loading of the mini disc we are faced with an intreagueing question which has plagued us Euro Gamers for eons... 60Hz or not 60Hz. If possible CHOOSE 60Hz!!!! This game is incredibly crisp I cannot stress this enough, so I'll say it again - 60HZ PEOPLE!!! After which we are shown an impressive montage of scenes from the game all perfectly matched to the tone of the song "Choke" by Cauterize (we'll get to the music later).I suggest waiting through this (assuming you haven't already downloaded the intro).
The menus are extremely reminiscent of the original 1080. For those who never had the pleasure, it's set in a cabin. You move left and right to view different parts of the cabin where the characters are hanging... just waiting to be selected. In the previous incarnation there was only 4 racers... now we are graced by 6, each furnished with an interesting background piece (if you're one of us who actually bother to read the manual).
