News: A remake of the original OutRun in the style of OutRun 2? I'm sold!
Sega has announced that they will be making OutRun Online Arcade available to download on the PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live Arcade in early 2009. OutRun Online Arcade will be a high definition remake of the original OutRun and it will be developed by Sumo Digital, the team behind the fantastic OutRun 2 and OutRun 2006.
Test your time, speed and handling ability as you race through vibrant, colourful stages and rediscover the 15 glorious OutRun courses. From the steep streets of San Francisco to the beautiful beaches of California, it's mile after mile of unrelenting acceleration, thrills and action. Feel the kick as you put your foot to the floor in one of the 10 high-performance, fully licensed Ferrari cars as you race your way across the U.S. to a killer soundtrack.
The game will include both singleplayer and online multiplayer racing for up to six players in three modes: OutRun, Heart Attack and Time Attack.
