News: The real Joker and Batman are on board.

While not based on any particular version of Batman's history, Batman: Arkham Asylum is quickly turning into Batman: The Animated Series: The Game. In addition to a storyline and script written by Batman: TAS creator Paul Dini, two of that show's iconic voice actors have also been signed for the game.

First, Kevin Conroy will return to voice Batman. Conroy was last heard as Batman/Bruce Wayne in Batman: Gotham Knight, the animated interquel set between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Also, since The Joker plays a huge part in Arkham Asylum, it's only fitting that Mark "Luke Skywalker" Hamill returns to play the Clown Prince of Crime.

Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2009.
