News: 11 of them to be exact.

Activision has announced a slew of new tracks that will be appearing in Guitar Hero: World Tour.

The PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 game will be receiving three remade tracks like The Sex Pistols' "Anarchy in the UK" from Guitar Hero III. Speaking of The Sex Pistols, one of the remade tracks will be the band's "Pretty Vacant". "Overkill" by Motorhead will also be remade for the game along with "Kick Out the Jams" by MC5. "Kick Out the Jams" was redone by MC5 member Wayne Kramer, Jerry Cantrell of Alice and Chains and Gilby Clark formerly of Guns 'N' Roses providing backing to vocals recorded by Rob Tyner in 1968.

Next up, The Smashing Pumpkins will be rocking World Tour in a big way as "Today" will be included in the game and Billy Corgan will appear as an in-game character during the song. A Smashing Pumpkins Pack will also be available for download soon after World Tour is released and it will feature the band's new single "G.L.O.W." along with "1979" and "The Everlasting Gaze".

Sting will also appear in-game as The Police song "Demolition Man" will also appear in World Tour.

Finally, a trio of Tool songs, "Parabola", "Schism" and "Vicarious", will appear in the game. Activision is also creating a Tool-inspired venue for Guitar Hero: World Tour.

We'll have more soon.
