News: Midway's unlicensed NFL Blitz successor is coming to 360, PS3.
Madden NFL won't be the only football game hitting the gridiron this season. Midway announced that a sequel to its unlicensed, steroid-filled NFL Blitz successor is coming to consoles this fall.
Blitz: The League II returns the hard-hitting, swear-happy series to Xbox 360 and, for the first time, debuts the violent football franchise on PS3. The next-generation focus of the game's second outing (second, not counting the PSP version Blitz: Overtime) should make for some spectacular, bone-shattering (literally) tackles in high-definition.
УProfessional football has long sought to gloss over the often brutal realities that surround the game and its players,Ф said Leonie Manshanden, European Marketing Director, Midway Games Ltd. УBlitz: The League II embraces the most compelling storylines behind America's favorite sport and allows fans to experience them in a bold, interactive way.Ф
We hope to have hands-on analysis of Blitz: The League II's progress at E3 2008 next week.
