News: Sick of the mono sound? Activision has announced plans for the replacement discs.
They say that you can only get mono once, after that you're immune. Let's hope that's true with the sound output in future Guitar Hero games as Activision has announced the pre-registration details for getting a replacement disc for the Wii version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.
The re-mastered discs with the correct stereo and Dolby Pro Logic II sound output will be available sometime in "early 2008." Gamers who wish to receive a replacement disc can pre-register to have one sent to them when they are available by calling Activision Customer Support at (866) 780-8286 from 8:00am-8:00pm Eastern Ttime, Monday-Friday.
For those who would prefer not to pre-register, Activision has also offered to notify people by email when the discs are available. Signup for Email Notification can be found at the
