News: Blu-ray Savings promotion details CECHG01 PS3 model further.

Remember our recent report on an FCC filing made by Sony which suggested a new PS3 model? Now the evidence is piling up as the previously discovered PS3 with a model number of CECHG01 has made itself known on Blu-ray Savings. An advertisement for five free Blu-ray movies lists the new model number as a supported PlayStation 3 Blu-ray player (along with the existing 60 and 80GB versions).

The noteworthy point of this narrows down to one fine detail: the advertisement's printable coupon clearly states the Blu-ray player is to be purchased between the dates of October 1 and January 31 2008 which adds to the rumors of a $399 PS3 being released before the end of the year. Check out the advertisement for yourself above and click it for the full image. It would seem a badly kept secret is now, well, an even worse kept one.
