News: I guess we'll have to wait until next year to blow the world up.

The UK branch of EA Games has announced that Mercenaries 2: World in Flames has been given a new release date. The game, which was previously said to be coming this holiday season, has been pushed back to sometime in 2008.

Electronic Arts' American branch has yet to comment on the delay, game retailer EB Games has also updated the title's release date to match the EA UK announcement. While this is not a guarantee of a delay of the North American release, EB Games is usually pretty accurate with their release date estimates.

We'll have more on Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, which is scheduled for release on the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, soon.
