News: Fighting, football and fifty percent off.

Microsoft has announced next week's Xbox Live Arcade offering a little earlier than usual today. SNK's fighting classic Fatal Fury Special and Midway's robotic football game Cyberball 2072 will be added to the service next Wednesday, September 5th.

Both games will be available for 400 Microsoft Points and they will both be given the "enhanced graphics" makeover. More about the titles can be found here:

Cyberball 2072
Rediscover the arcade classic game ?Cyberball 2072? from Midway on Xbox Live Arcade. Take control of your robotic team, and call the plays to move your team downfield for a touchdown. But watch out, the ball gets hot if you don't keep moving! Keep your eye on the ball to make sure it doesn't go critical before you can score.

Fatal Fury Special
The third title in the ?Fatal Fury? fighting game series from SNK Playmore makes its way onto Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday! Join Terry and Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi and 12 of the toughest titans in one of the biggest matches of the millennium. Set in Southtown, a fictitious American city, players must compete against the ruler of the underworld Wolfgang Krauzer. Who will win? You'll have to play to find out.

Microsoft has also announced a special Labor Day promotion for the XBLA: half-price games! Four titles will be available for fifty percent off starting Sunday night (at 8 PM eastern time) and continuing all day Monday (until 8 PM eastern).

The four titles are Small Arms and Zuma Deluxe (which will be available for 400 points) and Gauntlet and Dig Dug (which will be available for 200 points). If you've been considering any of these titles, now is the time to buy.
