News: Blizzard's big announcement is this Saturday and I think they spilled the beans early.

Editor's Note: StarCraft was officially confirmed on Saturday, May 19, 2007. Read the news story here.

Blizzard has been running a countdown of their past projects all week at Blizzard.com leading up to their mega-announcement this Saturday at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in South Korea.

It doesn't take much of a detective to figure out that Starcraft is a hugely popular game in South Korea. But what does take a little detective work is to investigate Starcraft2.com. The site is currently running the same countdown that Blizzard is running on their main page. A quick WHOIS lookup then shows that Starcraft2.com is owned and operated by Blizzard.

None of the other rumored games this announcement may refer can say the same thing. Diablo3.com, WorldofStarcraft.com and Warcraft4.com are all owned by individuals unaffiliated with Blizzard.

While it's not official yet, I would be very surprised if something other than Starcraft 2 is announced this Saturday.
