News: 1080p is your new fighting god.

Namco Bandai has announced they are bringing Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection to the PlayStation Store "later this month." The game has been available to Japanese PS3 owners since December, but we in America will be getting it soon enough. Namco Bandai did not reveal a price for the title.

"We are thrilled to announce that starting later this month, fighting game fans will have the opportunity to experience the ultimate fighting series, Tekken, on the PlayStation 3 system, for the first time," said Makoto Iwai, Executive Vice President and COO at Namco Bandai Games America Inc. "With lightning fast gameplay, gorgeous next-gen graphics and a massive line-up of characters to choose from, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection on the PlayStation 3 system, will deliver the most incredible fighting experience to date as players battle it out to be crowned King of the Iron Fist Tournament".

The game will include visuals in 1080p and a trio of special game modes: "Arcade Battle will test players fighting skills in the ultimate showdown, Ghost Battle allows players to battle CPU ghost opponents in an unlimited series of matches, and a Gallery Mode to view character art and movies."

We'll have more on Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection soon.
