News: EA has six games in development for Nintendo's next console.

EA announced today they are six original games to the Wii sometime in the future. Two of the games, Madden NFL 07 and Need For Speed Carbon, have already been announced.

The six titles will be custom-designed for the Wii and the Wii-mote by the dedicated Wii team at EA Canada. The games are:

  • Madden NFL 07
  • Need for Speed Carbon
  • Harry Potter
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour
  • SSX
  • The Godfather

"Once we started to experiment with Madden on Wii, there was an explosion of innovation. Everyone in the studio is energized by the creative opportunity afforded by both the hardware and controller. By reaching into our catalogue, we are able to bring a fresh and distinctive experience to some of EA's most popular franchises. Creatively, the game play possibilities are staggering and endless," said John Schappert, Senior Vice President and General Manager, EA.

And that's not all. EA has also revealed that more titles for the Wii are in development and will be announced at a later date.
