Game of August: Sleeping Dogs or Darksiders 2?

Sleeping Dogs

News: I'm absolutely shocked, a Final Fantasy game is at number one. See the rest of the list inside.

The Magic Box has posted the final list of Japan's top selling games for 2003 and there are very little surprises to say the least. Final Fantasy, Pokemon, J-League soccer, big head baseball, Dragon Ball, all of the genres and series' that people associate with Japanese gaming are well represented here.

One of the most interesting games on the list is Gran Turismo 4: Prologue, which still managed to nab number 21 and 382,471 copies sold even though it has only been on store shelves for three weeks.

Another title you may want a look out for is the Taikou no Tetsujin series, which had two entries at number 22 and number 25. Taikou no Tetsujin is a rythym game based on drumming and is the basis for a similar game they have planned for Nintendo called Donkey Konga. If this proves to be half as popular as Dance Dance Revolution we might have a whole new game craze on our hands.
