News: Ubisoft announces Flow, the world's first break dancing game.

From the "What you talkin' 'bout Willis?" files comes Ubisoft's latest offering, Flow: Urban Dance Uprising for the PS2. Flow is being billed as the "first and only breakdancing and hip-hop game". Why am I not surprised?

The game is being developed by A2M, previously known for Scooby-Doo and Teen Titans adaptations. Weirdness like this is usually associated with Japanese games, so how did a North American company like A2M get mixed up in this?

Flow will take the rhythm genre in new directions as players will be popping with the likes of the Sugar Hill Gang, Kurtis Blow, and Eric B & Rakim.

Other features include:

  • 50 urban dance tracks including tracks from famous hip hop artists.

  • Six modes of play and three difficulty levels to choose from.

  • 100 break-dancing challenges across all modes of play

  • Up to eight players supported in three different party modes.

  • 10 unique characters and 10 urban-flavored environments to choose from, with more than 100 distinctive dance moves.

  • EyeToy USB Camera support

Flow: Urban Dance Uprising will be released sometime this holiday season.
