News: Feudal Japanese strategy war coming to the DS.
Namco has announced that they are bringing Shogun Warrior: The Lost Army to the DS this October. The strategy RPG is being developed by Box Clever Interactive and will put the DS' touch screen to work.
Shogun Warrior places players in the shoes of one of two brothers in Ancient Japan. The brothers are locked in a war that will leave one dead and one Shogun of Japan.
Shogun Warrior will make use of the touch screen by allowing players to use the stylus to place troops and use the second screen to showcase their bloody encounters. The game will also feature touch screen mini-games with "Forest Duels, Castle Sieges, Ninja Battles and Sea Battles".
Shogun Warrior is a natural for the DS wireless multiplayer and it will put it into effect. Strangely, Namco was quoted as saying the game would support "up to 8 players" and "up to 16 players" in this mode. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough which one is right.
