Madden NFL Franchise Hits 130 Million Copies Sold Milestone

News: EA’s Madden NFL franchise has just hit an impressive milestone with the annual series showing no signs of slowing down.

Madden NFL 19 was released a few days ago but it was earlier today when EA revealed a pretty impressive statistic. EA has reported that Madden NFL 19 had a strong opening weekend and that pushed the entire franchise to over 130 million copies sold. In addition, mobile Madden NFL games have climbed to nearly 73 million installs, with the forthcoming Madden NFL Overdrive set to push that number even higher when it launches on August 15. Through the years Madden NFL continues to be North America’s biggest sports game franchise.

“It’s incredible how many people have enjoyed Madden NFL over the years, and the impact it’s had on not only teaching the sport of football, but growing the love of it as well,” said Cam Weber, EVP and Group GM, EA Sports. “Every year Madden NFL is the game that kicks off our season of EA Sports games, and it continues to be one of the titans of the game industry.”

Madden NFL has also assigned ratings to more than 10,000 NFL players, and has virtually represented intangibles like speed, throw power and tackling ability of some of the best to ever play the game. Every week the Madden NFL franchise updates the ratings of over 400 NFL players in order to deliver the most realistic experience possible to football fans.

Madden has also returned to PC this year with the release of Madden NFL 19. For a number of years it was only console gamers that were able to experience the virtual gridiron but now PC gamers can get their fix as well.
