News: You will only have to wait about two more months before diving into the world of We Happy Few and trying to figure out why everyone is so “happy”.
Compulsion Games and Gearbox have revealed that We Happy Few will leave preview and launch in August. It will be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Featuring an additional 20+ hours of narrative-driven gameplay, players will play as three uniquely flawed characters coming to terms with their past and uncovering the secrets of Wellington Wells, an island off the coast of England that seems to have been cut off from the rest of the world after World War II.
Set in retro-futuristic 1960s England, players will find a city ravaged by war and rebuilt by delusionally happy people. Everything appears joyful in Wellington Wells, including its roads, its people, and its omnipresent television personality: Uncle Jack! But, it’s actually a world on the brink of collapse. Unveil its dark history, and discover how and why its residents came to be so beguilingly happy.
It was also revealed at Microsoft’s E3 Briefing that they have acquired Compulsion Games. Obviously We Happy Few will be on multiple platforms but this might be the last title from Compulsion Games that makes its way onto a PlayStation platform. Although Minecraft appears on multiple platforms despite Microsoft owning it so who really knows.
Take a look at the E3 trailer below and tell us what you think. We Happy Few will launch on August 10, 2018. Will you be picking it up?
