News: The new Call of Duty game for this year will be a continuation of the Black Ops story.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is the next Call of Duty title that will be released later this year. A couple of days ago James Harden of the Houston Rockets let the cat out of the bag by being photographed wearing a Black Ops 4 hat so Activision just decided to officially confirm its existence instead of letting the “rumor” float around for a couple months.
One interesting thing about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is that it has a October release this year. The only assumption that can be made is that Call of Duty was moved up so that it could have some time alone on the market before Rockstar’s new title arrives. Traditionally Call of Duty has been a November franchise but this year fans will be able to get their hands on it Black Ops 4 beginning on Friday, October 12.
Unfortunately Activision didn’t really release any details other than Black Ops 4 is coming out later this year. In a couple of months on May 17 though there will be a community reveal where I think it is safe to assume that we will see the first trailer for Black Ops 4. Traditionally the trailer for the next Call of Duty game is first seen during the NBA Playoffs and the playoffs will be well underway when we get to May 17.
For more information about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 be sure to keep checking back on Gaming Target. We will be sure to report on any details that are released leading up to the reveal in May and the game’s release in October. Will you be picking up Call of Duty: Black Ops 4?
