News: EA Sports has picked who is going to win the Super Bowl this weekend along with adding Madden NFL 16 to the Vault for EA Access members.

”Madden

Super Bowl 50 is taking place this Sunday with the Denver Broncos taking on the Carolina Panthers. EA Sports has run their annual Super Bowl simulation on the current version of Madden and it has predicted that the Carolina Panthers will go on to defeat the Denver Broncos by a score of 24-20. According to the simulation the Panthers jump out to a 10-0 lead. By the time we get to halftime Denver and Peyton are facing a 17 point deficit. The football tends to go back and forth between the two teams during the third quarter but Denver gets back into the game with a touchdown down pass from Manning to Emanuel Sanders as well as Aqib Talib picking off Cam Newton to set up a field goal for Denver. By the end of the third quarter Denver has closed the gap to within four with Carolina maintaining their lead 17-13.

As the fourth quarter comes around Peyton Manning connects with Demaryius Thomas in the endzone giving Denver their first lead of the game at 20-17. Carolina wasn’t going to go quietly into the night though and refused to concede the game by driving down the field and scoring the winning touchdown with a goal line scramble that secured Carolina it’s first Lombardi trophy.

For those who are wondering this annual Madden Super Bowl simulation has picked the correct winner nine times in the past twelve years. Last year’s prediction not only correctly forecast the final score but also accurately predicted that Tom Brady would win the Super Bowl MVP award, that New England would overcome a 10 point deficit and that Julian Edelman would score the deciding touchdown.

To help celebrate the upcoming Super Bowl EA has also revealed that Madden NFL 16 will become free for EA Access members on Xbox One beginning tomorrow, February 2. With the addition of Madden NFL 16 that means there are 15 free games available to members in the vault. This is in addition to the five day early access EA Access members get on EA game releases and the 10% off of digital purchases through the Xbox store on Xbox One.

Who do you think will win the Super Bowl? If you are an EA Access member on Xbox One, will you be downloading Madden NFL 16? Tell us what you think below.
