Games With Gold January 2015 Games Revealed by Microsoft

News: Xbox Live Gold members will be receiving one free Xbox One game and two free Xbox 360 games throughout the month of January.

The Games with Gold titles for January have been revealed by Microsoft with Xbox Live Gold members receiving one Xbox One game and two free games on Xbox 360. Beginning on January 1 Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die for free. D4 is from legendary Japanese designer Swery (real name: Hidetaka Suehiro), the man behind Deadly Premonition. You play David Young, a detective whose wife has been murdered. David suffers from a strange syndrome as a result of the murder: He can’t remember the past, but he can travel through time. He uses this ability to go back and find out the truth behind his wife’s death so he can try to prevent it. But, along the way, his bizarre powers get augmented (and sometimes impeded) by an equally bizarre cast of characters.

On January 1 you will also be able to download MX vs. ATV Alive for the Xbox 360. MX vs. ATV Alive is the most realistic incarnation of the franchise, due in large part to upgrades made to the game's physics engine. The newly added bar-to-bar functionality allows for more bone-jarring, intense collisions between riders. A leveling system enables players to evolve and upgrade their rider via an experience system which awards points for position, jumps, passes, and other variables. Along with including more than 50 professional riders, other franchise features have returned including track deformation and the Rider Reflex control system. MX vs. ATV Alive will be available for download for two weeks beginning on January 1 and ending on January 15.

On January 16 Xbox 360 gamers will be able to download The Witcher 2: Assassin’s of Kings for free. This is perfect timing by Microsoft with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt coming out in a few months. The Witcher 2 has an all-new storyline filled with complex characters, captivating political machinations and intriguing challenges. It also features a new, brutal combat system that uniquely combines tactical elements with dynamic action. The Witcher 2: Assassin’s of Kings will be available for download for two weeks beginning on January 16 going until January 31.
