News: Gamers who want to get their hands on Super Smash Bros for the 3DS early will have their chance at the San Diego Comic Con according to Nintendo.
With Super Smash Bros on the Nintendo 3DS coming out in a few months, Nintendo has revealed what they will be doing later this month at Comic Con. Nintendo will be hosting its first-ever tournament for Super Smash Bros on the 3DS on July 25. Nintendo has invited everyone to come to the Nintendo Gaming Lounge at the Marriott Marquis & Marina located at 333 W. Harbor Drive (adjacent to the San Diego Convention Center) for a chance to participate.
Starting at noon, there will be a preliminary round in which groups of four competitors battle it out, with the winner advancing. During the finals, players will duke it out one-on-one to determine the top smasher. Tournament slots are limited, and fans will be able to sign up the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis.
For fans not able to attend Comic Con, tournament action will be streamed live on Nintendo’s Twitch channel at http://www.twitch.tv/Nintendo. Additional Nintendo Gaming Lounge activities will be announced in the future. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS launches on October 3. Super Smash Bros for Wii U launches this holiday season.
