News: It has just been revealed that Titanfall on Xbox 360 will now be coming out on March 25, two weeks after the launch on Xbox One and PC.

Titanfall

Titanfall is set to come out on March 11...for the PC and Xbox One. A message has just appeared on the Titanfall Twitter account that the Xbox 360 version has been pushed back two weeks and will now become available on March 25. The reason for this delay is supposedly so Bluepoint Games can put the “finishing touches” on the Xbox 360 version. Honestly though it probably has more to do with Microsoft really wanting to push the Xbox One version and if that is all that is available then people will rush out to buy that version and if someone doesn’t have an Xbox One yet, then they will buy one to play Titanfall. The Xbox 360 unquestionably has a bigger user base due to being on the market since 2005, however, Microsoft wants to sell their new machine and this is a great way for them to do it. Xbox 360 owners will undoubtedly be disappointed by this news but one has to wonder how many will go get the Xbox One version now that it comes out first. It has been known for a while that Respawn has only been working on the Xbox One and PC version whereas we just recently found out that Bluepoint Games was handling the 360 port.

There have rumors been circulating the internet lately that a Titanfall beta will be taking place later this month. Xbox 360 owners won’t be able to get in on this beta though as it is only for the PC and Xbox One. This isn’t an open beta, however, Respawn has stated they want to try and get as many players in the beta as possible, presumably to really test out the servers so we can all avoid another Battlefield 4 situation. Microsoft is undoubtedly helping out with the servers for Titanfall though so, hopefully, the game has a smooth launch and everyone can jump in and play when they want to. For those who are wondering, Respawn claims that access to the beta is not tied to pre-orders, meaning you don’t have to go down to your local Gamestop to pre-order the game in order to get a beta code.

Titanfall

Titanfall is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2014 and could turn out to be the first “must have” game of the generation. Which version will you be getting? Were you planning on getting the Xbox 360 version and will now get the Xbox One version due to this delay? Tell us what you think below.
