News: New gameplay footage from Call of Duty Ghost shown for next gen as well as find out the name for Call of Duty dog.

Call of Duty Ghosts E3 special on Sunday night.

E3 2013 is mere hours away and Activision has kicked off the festivities by holding a special Call of Duty All Access special earlier today. This special showed some brand new gameplay from Call of Duty Ghosts that had not been shown yet. There were a few different levels shown such as an underwater level where you engage in some underwater combat, a mission where it looked like you were clearing out houses at one point and more.

While you are underwater the aquatic scenery looked really impressive and you had to make your way carefully through the level as the enemy was using sonar to try and track down anyone who wasn’t supposed to be there. At some point you see a few enemy combatants jump in the water and it appears you are left with no choice but to engage them and quickly shoot them while underwater.

When details for Call of Duty Ghost were starting to be released everyone became enamored with “Call of Duty dog” which we now know is named Riley. Based on the footage shown during this special it appears that Riley is going to be very useful as you can use a camera that is attached to him to kind of get his perspective on the action. You can easily sneak up on enemies and take them down quickly or distract an enemy long enough to where one of the soliders can quickly take them out. During the special they did show off Riley taking down some enemy soldiers by jumping on them and bringing them to the ground, similar to how the dogs in Call of Duty have done to us over the past few years. There was also a section shown where Riley would jump into an occupied house and drive the enemy outside allowing you to quickly ambush them and secure the house. Another level reminded me a bit of the famous sniper mission in the original Modern Warfare where there was a bunch of grass you were trying to use to your advantage while you were hunting down your enemy in route to trying to complete your objective.

Even though there was only a little bit shown from Call of Duty Ghost it was enough to pique interest and, hopefully, we will see more not only at the press conferences but on the show floot itself once E3 kicks off on Tuesday. Are you excited for Call of Duty Ghost? Will you get it on Xbox 360, Xbox 720, PS3 or PS4? Tell us what you think below.
