Wii U News: Nintendo Wii U had a big release date this month, but during a White House Christmas event, Michelle Obama gets properly schooled by grade schoolers.
Nintendo Wii U is going to be one of the most popular video game gifts this holiday season, but that doesn’t mean everyone including First Lady Michelle Obama knew about its recent release date.
While at a Christmas event at the White House, Mrs. Obama asked a group of children what they wanted as presents. When the idea of a Wii U was brought up, the First Lady asked what it was.
“What’s a Wii U?” Mrs. Obama questioned. “What does it do? How is it different than the other one?”
A reporter's video of the event recorded the child’s unintelligible answer from afar and Mrs. Obama clearly remarking “that sounds cool.”
Given this year’s time-consuming Presidential campaign, Michelle Obama can be excused for not being up on the newest Nintendo system. Also, she does get credits for knowing about that there was a previous Wii console.
In a separate video by the same reporter, Mrs. Obama says that daughter Sasha wants a cell phone, but isn’t getting one just yet.
Maybe instead there’ll be a new video game gift sitting under the White House Christmas tree on Dec. 25.
