GameStop Black Friday Deals 2012 News: GameStop runs promotions for a PS Vita Bundle with AC3 Liberation and CoD Black Ops 2, though the standalone Call of Duty discount seems to be zilch.
The Black Friday deals at GameStop seem to be like the Amazon and Best Buy video game discounts, with a few good and bad suggestions.
First the best GameStop deals include the Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Bundle, which comes with CoD Black Ops 2, Forza MotorSport 4, and Skyrim for just $249.99. The CoD Black Ops 2 is where the real savings comes into play at GameStop vs. Best Buy’s Xbox 360 bundle for Black Friday.
The PS3 250GB Holiday Bundle is also a big-ticket item for Black Friday. In addition to the console, this $199.97 gift comes with Uncharted: Dual Pack (which is Uncharted 1 and 2) and the inFamous Collection (which, again is inFamous 1 and 2).
GameStop says the PS3 bundle is currently sold out online, but you can check availability at your local GameStop store to see if it’s still being sold.
GameStop is also discounting the PS Vita with Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation coming with the handheld bundle. It’s retailing for a flat $200 today.
Now for the not-so-great GameStop Black Friday deals. The Wii U, while in stock, isn’t really much of a savings at the standard price of $299.99. The same goes with the standalone copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. It’s $59.99, just like it would be on any normal day. Halo 4 gets the same non-discount treatment. Why these items are on on GameStop’s Black Fridays page is anyone’s guess.
There are decent discounts beyond this glaring oversight: Dishonored is $29.99, Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition is $19.99, and World of WarCraft makes it to another Black Friday deal with World of Warcraft Battlechest selling for $4.99.
