The Secret World Release Date News: Funcom's action-adventure MMORPG with an alternate-reality setting gets pushed back due to ?market reasons,? so beta weekends continue.
The Secret World release date has been delayed, meaning the game is going to stay a secret just a little while longer. The alternate-reality-set MMORPG's publisher, Funcom, put out a press release this morning to announce the delay from June 19 to July 3. The reason for the new release date two weeks later than expected? ?Due to market reasons, the ship date has been moved,? said the Norway-based company said. ?The new launch date places The Secret World in a more positive launch window which will benefit the launch of the game.?
The good news is that early access to The Secret World will begin on June 29. Additionally, the beta weekends are still ongoing. The third beta weekend, titled 'Hell Raised', begins on June 15, allowing players to experience the Illuminati and Dragon starter experiences as well as the Templar experience. According to Funcom, ?Players will also get to leave Kingsmouth and venture into the massive region known as Savage Coast, where they will soon find that the very gates of hell itself have opened up. This will allow players to experience the epic 'Hell Raised' dungeon where you will have to battle the demons of hell itself.?
The next weekend, June 22, is the fourth and final beta weekend for The Secret World. This beta will venture into PvP territory featuring the Eldorado battlefield and massive warzone gameplay containing 100-plus participants.
After that The Secret World beta weekends end and it's up to you to obtain early access to the highly anticipated MMORPG.
