In case you haven't been keeping up with the monthly Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 content drops or aren't a paid Elite Premium member who is entitled to the non-stop DLC, you may be interested in knowing that everything is going to be rolled up once again in the CoD MW3 DLC Collection 2 next week. Activision announced that Xbox 360 owners will see the map pack on May 22, and this time a new game mode is included: Face-Off.
As the behind-the-scenes trailer for DLC Collection 2 explains, Face-Off mode is a limited game type in which the player count is smaller (1 vs. 1 or 2 vs. 2) and the maps are tight (forcing a close combat situation, like it or not). The two Face-Off maps are called Getaway and Lookout, and they join the DLC's multiplayer maps Sanctuary, Foundation and Oasis and two Spec Ops Missions Iron Clade and Switch Back. The price of the CoD MW3 DLC Collection 2 will be the usual $14.99, or 1200 Microsoft Points.
Top top it all off, all Elite Premium will be treated to two additional Face-Off maps on May 16 (a week ahead of the DLC Collection 2 release date): Erosion and Aground. You can see everything all of the maps previewed in the behind-the-scenes trailer below.
You'll notice that the release date only pertains to Xbox 360, which has timed-exclusive DLC for CoD games. PS3 and PC fans shouldn't feel too left out. Activision said that Уall content will be available on other platforms at a later date.Ф
