Trials Evolution News: ?Arcade Next? kicks off this week with the Trails Evolution. Watch this XBLA game in action with the official YouTube launch trailer.

Trials Evolution release date was this week.

Trials Evolution, the appropriately named bigger and better sequel to Trials HD, released on XBLA this week, and we have the launch trailer to show you what's new. Among the features of this 2.5D platform racing game is an expanded single-player mode, a fleshed-out track editor and a much-needed four-player multiplayer mode. The Trails Evolution multiplayer mode features both offline and online gameplay, which makes it this month's instant party must-have.

The YouTube trailer for Trials Evolution reviews these new features for you, with gameplay footage of local and online multiplayer, customizable bike and rider gear options and the ability to make your own games and build your own tracks. You can see how the combination of four-player multiplayer, custom gameplay options and easier track sharing make this a leap for the 2.5D sequel to Trails HD and worth the cost of $15 (aka 1200 Microsoft Points).

Trials Evolution is the first game that's part of Microsoft ?Arcade Next? XBLA promotion. Next week brings about Bloodforge, followed by Fable Heroes and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. Stay tuned for a review of Trials Evolution (review spoiler alert, it's quite good) and additional news regarding the rest of the XBLA lineup as their release dates hit.
