Max Payne 3 News: Rockstar has 3 new glimpses of Max Payne 3, with all the explosions and dramatic lighting of the ultimate cop movie, and don't forget that multiplayer

Today, Rockstar Games unloaded a trio of Max Payne 3 screenshots on the gaming public. While we've had no more news about online play since the big multiplayer reveal in December, these single-player shots are dripping with the style Payne fans love.

Let's have a look, shall we?

Blasting his way through a Comando Sombra hideout.

Everyone knows that the more you ignore an explosion, the cooler you look. Just ask Andy Samberg. That must be why he's pointing those Uzis in the exact opposite direction.

Dressed to kill in Sao Paulo

Max, embracing his dark side with a Walter White haircut and Weird Al's fashion sense.

Lurking for a take down

Finally, Max in his natural environment, among the shadows of chiaroscuro lighting.

Follow Gaming Target on Twitter for the latest on everything Rockstar, including Max and GTA IV. And if you haven't looked over IGN's exclusive preview of Max's Gang War mode, you really ought to. It's gameplay that'll combine the stylized shooting Payne fans love with the online, head-to-head action that defines the modern shooter. Check it out!
