WWE '12 News: Wrestling is fake, but the WWE '12 cover superstar fan vote is not. You decide whether the Collector's Edition will feature John Cena or The Rock.
Video: WWE '12 Collector's Edition Cover Superstar trailer: The Rock vs. John Cena is below
Wrestling video game fans can vote to have their WWE С12 Collector's Edition box adorned by any superstar so long as it's The Rock or John Cena. That's the decision that THQ, taking a cue from EA's Madden NFL 12 cover athlete fan vote, is leaving up to gamers before the November 22 WWE С12 release date on the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
This fan vote ties into next year's April 1 WrestleMania XXVIII at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami. There, the one-on-one title match winner will be determined by physical (fakesical) strength. The cover art competition, meanwhile, is going to be left up to a fun, but much-less-PPV-worthy Facebook decision. It'll also be revealed much sooner than next April and not require access to a costly pay-per-view event to witness first-hand.
There's still no word on the contents or the exact pricing of the WWE С12 Collector's Edition. Expect to learn more from an official THQ announcement (which we will write about, of course) in September. That's the thirty-day window in which THQ will list all of the premium content and reveal the winning WWE Superstar.
