Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 get release dates for Nintendo 3DS

3DS Release Dates News: Star Fox 64 3D and Kid Icarus: Uprising also reconfirmed for their respective release dates.

Super Mario 3D Land for Nintendo DS has a release date in November 2011

Nintendo's 3DS is receiving a price drop and a free 3DS games incentive program for early adopters who had overpaid. However, the news for Nintendo's glasses-free 3D portable isn't all negative. The company announced a series of release dates for its first-party games scheduled to ship before the end of the year.

Following the recent launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, the next first-party title to come to the United States will be Star Fox 64 3D - it's release date remains September 9. The release date for Super Mario 3D Land, a game that was previously without a release window, has been narrowed down to a 30-day time-frame: November. Mario Kart 7, the first time Nintendo is calling it by that likely tentative name, is scheduled to ship the next month in December.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is also scheduled to release before the end of the year, but its still without a release date or release window. The best we can give you is holiday 2011. It's a bit worrying that Nintendo still doesn't have a release date locked down for Kid Icarus for 3DS, as it's an anticipated title and Nintendo needs every last one of these handheld games in order to push its struggling portable system. The good news is that Kid Icarus: Uprising was a game unveiled along with the Nintendo 3DS at E3 2011, so it's been in development long enough to make that happen.
