News: The tour to show off this Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, Nintendo DS and PC game ends with MLB All-Star FanFest in Phoenix.
Opening Day isn't here yet, but 2K Sports and its custom-designed RV to demo Major League Baseball 2K11 has begun their coast-to-coast tour. The first stop happened this weekend in sunny Clearwater, Florida, where the Philadelphia Phillies and MLB 2K11 cover athlete Roy "Doc" Hallady are in training. If you're like me, you regretfully had to miss the spectacular trio of this MLB2K11 demo, my hometown baseball team and the Cy Young Award winning pitcher. Thankfully, the event at Bright House field (yes, the same Bright House cable company that refuses to stream ESPN3 through Xbox Live along with Time Warner, is only the beginning. There are 21 other stops around the country from today through July 12.

The tour will, of course, be touting its $1 million contest to pitch the perfect game on either an Xbox 360 or PS3. "The tour is a perfect opportunity for fans to practice their skills for the $1 Million Perfect Game Challenge that begins on April 1." said Jason Argent, VP of marketing for 2K Sports.
As much as I'd love to provide you with hands-on coverage of the May 6 event at Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia, I'll probably settle for the April 8-10 stop at significantly closer Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim stadium or MLB All-Star FanFest conclusion at in Phoenix, AZ.
