News: War, yarn and pencils. Everything a gamer needs.

Electronic Arts brings the Medal of Honor series into the 21st century with the simply named Medal of Honor (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) this week. Continuing its theme of using real world conflicts, the game will drop players into the War in Afghanistan against the Taliban Opposing Force.

Most of the rest of the week's new releases involve lighter subject matter such as the return of Nintendo's pink puff ball, Kirby. Kirby's Epic Yarn turns the cute little guy into a stuffed animal who battles stringy dinosaurs and other zippered monsters. Also available on the Wii this week is Just Dance 2, the latest dance simulation from Ubisoft.

The DS will get into the act with Super Scribblenauts this week. The sequel to 2009's Scribblenauts includes more words and the power of adjectives!

Finally this week are two Game of the Year re-releases: Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Game of The Year Edition (PS3). Remember, the Borderlands GOTY also includes early access to the Duke Nukem Forever demo (whenever Gearbox plans to release it that is).
