Special: Want Dead Rising 2? You'll want to check out this $90 ultimate edition for the Fortune City-based game.

Dead Rising 2 Collector's Edition / High Stakes Edition
Release Date: September 28, 2010
$79.99 / $89.99

Dead Rising 2 ups the ante with four limited editions of the Sin City-set sequel, one of which is appropriately dubbed High Stakes Edition. There are two decks of bloodstained cards featuring character art, one bloodstained dealer chip, five green dice and 100 poker chips split into four different colors: green, blue, yellow and red. A visitor map for locations and attractions around the Las Vegas-inspired Fortune City doubles as a game map and it's included along with a ?Terror is Reality XVII? admission ticket, which is really a voucher for the Psycho costume and skills DLC. All of this comes in a black high-impact case so you can be easily carry everything around if you ever visit Fortune City before a Zombie outbreak and want to hone-in on your Red Dead Redemption gambling skills.

The coolest perk of High Stakes Edition will go to one person and one person only - a six-foot zombie statue. This life-size replica looks like a tourist turned into a zombie or a normal tourist who has spent way too much time in a casino full of blinking lights and beeping noises. It lurches forward with a limp as if it hasn't stood up from the table with the Texas Holdem games for several hours and is clumsily making its way to the lunch buffet line. It wears a Hawaiian shirt, shorts, sandals and a lay around its neck while carrying a fuzzy pair of dice. The winner of this monstrous statue will find a golden ?Terror is Reality XVII? admission. So, think of it as darker, more freakish version of the sweepstakes from old ?Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? movie? or a lighter, less freakish version of the Johnny Depp remake.

The normal Collector's Edition, meanwhile, prepares you for after a zombie outbreak and whittles the price down a Hamilton to $79.99. Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions come packed with Zombrex-branded materials: a fake syringe pen, 25-page prescription notepad, 16-page prospectus sales brochure and a safety kit card. A 48-page Dead Rising 2 hardback art book accompanies the game, which sits in a two-disc SteelBook case. The extra disc is where the two console CEs differ. The Xbox 360 version comes with the 83-minute ?Zombrex Dead Rising Sun? movie and a 24-minute ?making of? featurette. The PS3 version also contains the featurette, but it's on a superior Blu-Ray disc and there's a voucher for a Dead Rising 2 XMB theme instead of the movie.

Dead Rising 2 Outbreak Edition (Europe)
Outbreak Edition guarantees that European gamers get a zombie statue, albeit a 12? smaller figurine with accessories. It also comes with a Sports Fan costume and skills DLC, the ?making of? featurette and a detailed weapons guide to make your own zombie-destroying weapons from the ?Tape it or Die? catalogue. The Xbox 360-exlucive movie and PS3-exlcusive XMB theme will also be part of the European collections.
