News: But the XBLA update is still on schedule.

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have announced that Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is still on track for a September 28th release through PC digital distribution portals and the PlayStation Netowrk. However, it'll be missing one promised feature: online co-op.

If you'll recall, the game initially launched on the Xbox Live Arcade a few weeks as part of Microsoft's Summer of Arcade promotion. That version of the game also didn't ship with online co-op, but Square Enix promised that a patch would be available on September 28.

According to IGN, that patch will still be made available next Tuesday, meaning that XBLA users get another timed exclusive related to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

It's unknown when Square Enix will have online co-op available for the PC and PSN version (the publisher would only commit to "[it'll be available] at a later date"), but a local co-op mode will be included.
