News: Rockstar's western outduels the competition.

The NPD Group has released their report on the bestselling games and consoles in June and Red Dead Redemption has once again outduelled the competition. The Xbox 360 version of Rockstar's western adventure took the top spot with sales of over 580,000 while the PS3 version was close behind in the third spot with sales of 380,000. Nintendo's Super Mario Galaxy 2 snuck in between the two with a #2 finish and almost 550,000 copies sold. Mario's previous adventure, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, continues to sell and places in the number four spot. Finally, Ubisoft's dancing game Just Dance rounded out the top five.

Making their debut in the top ten this month is the DS version of Toy Story 3 at #7 and the Wii version of Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 at #9. Another debut also sold big last month as Microsoft's slimmer Xbox 360 pushed the console to the #2 slot in the hardware list ahead of the Wii and PS3. But the DS retained its stranglehold on the #1 spot.

Here's the full list of the ten bestselling games in the month and the console sales numbers:
