News: Tracks from Ice Cube, Outkast, others confirmed.

Konami has announced that 4mm Games' Def Jam Rapstar will be released for the PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 on October 5.

The publisher has also revealed seven more tracks and two instrumental beats that will be included in the rapping sim when it ships to stores. The instrumental tracks have been created exclusively for Def Jam Rapstar and they'll be used in the game's Freestyle Mode. So far, 4mm has secured tracks from acclaimed producers DJ Premier ("JJ's Beat") and Just Blaze ("On the One"), with more to come.

Ice Cube, Outkast and Biz Markie are among the artists who have supplied the latest tracks confirmed to be included in the game:

  • Biz Markie - "Just A Friend"
  • Drake - "Best I Ever Had"
  • Ice Cube - "It Was A Good Day"
  • Outkast - "So Fresh, So Clean"
  • Pete Rock and CL Smooth - "They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)"
  • Redman and Method Man - "Da Rockwilder"
  • Salt-N-Pepa - "Push It"

    We'll have more soon.
