News: With Lego Harry Potter and Lego Star Wars III set for this year.

Developer TT Games (Travellers Tales) and the Lego Group have announced they will continue their partnership to make Lego-stylized adventure games through 2016.

The partnership has seven games so far: Lego Star Wars, Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jones 2 and Lego Rock Band. And two more, Lego Harry Potter: Years 1Ц4 and Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars are on track for a release this year.

УWe look forward to carrying on our excellent collaboration with the Lego Group in building extraordinary Lego video game franchises, with both Warner Bros. and third party IP, that continue to resonate with consumers,Ф said Tom Stone, managing director of TT Games Publishing. УThere is a tremendous future for Lego games, and we are looking forward to working with all of our partners over the coming years.Ф

The TT Games-developed Lego games, which is now owned by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, have sold almost 50 million copies worldwide. That is a lot of Lego bricks.

The two companies did not reveal what they have planned for the years ahead, but Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is almost guaranteed to launch alongside the second part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows next year.

After that, is it too much to ask for a Midway-TT Games collaboration on Lego Mortal Kombat? After all, ripping off heads of Lego figures is so easy. Ed Boon, make this happen!

We'll have more soon.
