News: 'The Duel' will be available to download in just a few hours.

The second episode of the Halo Legends anime anthology, "The Duel" will be viewable on Xbox Live today. As with the release of "The Babysitter" two weeks ago, "The Duel" will be viewable for a 24-hour period on the Halo Waypoint section of Xbox Live starting at midnight Pacific Time.

Here's what 343 Industries (Microsoft's division devoted to all things Halo) has to say about "The Duel":

?The Duel? takes place thousands of years in the past at the dawn of the Covenant. The story follows a shamed Elite who defies his role as an Arbiter to take a path of revenge against those that stole the only thing that mattered to him. This ancient Arbiter must fight his way through ever-growing groups of former allies (Grunts, Elites, Hunters and more) until he finally stands face-to-face with the Elite who betrayed him.

The Halo Waypoint website has also posted the release schedule for the next two episodes in the Halo Legends anthology as well as several behind the scenes featurettes that detail the making of each episode. Here's the full schedule:

11/21/09: "The Duel"
11/28/09: Making of "The Duel"

12/5/09: "The Package" Part 1
12/12/09: "The Package" Part 2
12/19/09: Making of "The Package"

1/2/10: "Origins" Part 1
1/9/10: Making of "Origins"

Halo Legends will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on February 9, 2010.
