News: More Fall releases get dated.

This latest batch of new release dates includes a trio of games that couldn't be more different: Gearbox's "role-playing shooter" Borderlands, 5th Cell's puzzle/platformer Scribblnauts and Rockstar's next downloadable expansion to Grand Theft Auto IV, The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Take-Two has announced that Borderlands will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 20. The game was originally scheduled to be released late last year, but a last minute delay lead to the game's redesigned art style and even more hype for a game that was initially referred to as "Mad Max meets Diablo".

Scribblenauts won a pile of Best of E3 awards at this year's show and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced the DS game will be released on September 15. The game's deep item creation tool allows players to obtain thousands of items including a time machine that lets them ride dinosaurs that eat zombie robots. All I have to say is that the world is a better place with Scribblenauts in it.

Finally, Rockstar has announced that the second Xbox 360-exclusive downloadable expnasion to Grand Theft Auto IV, The Ballad of Gay Tony, will be released on October 29. A copy of GTA4 is required to download Gay Tony, but a disc-based retail version of both downloadable episodes (including the previously released The Lost and Damned) is also coming for the Xbox 360 out the same day. It will be known as Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City and it will be a stand-alone game that does not require players to own a copy of GTA4.

The Ballad of Gay Tony will be able to be downloaded for 1600 Microsoft Points ($20) while Episodes from Liberty City will retail for $39.99.

We'll have more on all of these games soon.
